An American coffee business has created a collection of screen printed clothing, which commemorates a recent ice storm and will help a local charity.

The ice storm recently passed through Hampstead, US, and left hundreds of local residents without power.

Bean Towne Coffee has produced the range of ice storm printed t-shirts with a portion of the proceeds from sales going to the New Hampshire Food Bank

Kerrin Mooney, of Birch Marketing and Design, told local news network WMUR that they came up with the idea after being caught in the dark during the power cut.

"I just went grocery shopping right before the power outage and lost a whole refrigerator of food," she explained.

"I talked to another friend who had taken a bunch of turkeys to a food bank and they lost them, so we thought this is the perfect charity to donate to."

Around 150 of the $15 (£10.30) shirts have already been sold since they become available on December 23rd with $1 from each sale going to the food bank.
