A contest has been launched to find a designer to create the new look to be worn by staff working for Via Rail Canada.

The national Canadian rail company has teamed up with the Fashion Design Council of Canada to launch the Via Rail corporate clothing design challenge, reports the Canadian Press.

Aspiring designers from around Canada are being invited to test their skills at designing stylish and practical new workwear to be worn by staff at the company.

Judges will asses all the entries before the winning design is unveiled during Fashion Week in Toronto which is going ahead next March.

After being produced by the company, the winning corporate clothing design will be worn by all Via Rail station and on-train employees.

Aside the boost to their profile, the winning designer will also receive some $10,000 (£5,234) in Via Rail travel credits.
